The SAP on AWS architectural design is based on our reference architectures and best practices. The design is standardized to achieve the customer required SAP service levels, KPIs and business continuity demands. With highly automated controlled processes, we provide a fast and secure deployment of virtual machines, operating systems as well as database and SAP in a highly secured network environment. We care for the system lifecycle management and version control of operating system, database and SAP basis system, ensure timely updates, and patch management. Based on agreed retention periods and service levels, we perform regular backups of servers and applications on defined storage tiers. High availability and disaster recovery solutions protect our customers’ most critical applications and data. We manage security policies, protect the cloud environment from malware and support customer compliance demands. Helping to monitor AWS consumption, we allow basic cost control and optional cost optimization services. In addition to the Managed SAP on AWS Services, NTT DATA Business Solutions offers optional Application Management Services that complete the SAP as a Service concept.
