Polecat is a Strategic External Intelligence platform built for boards, risk, and communications leaders at corporate organisations who need to see around corners - spotting material issues before they become headlines, and understanding how the external landscape is genuinely moving against their business, their peers, and their sector. At the core of the solution is the Polecat Scoring Model, which combines two layers of intelligence. At the platform level, every piece of content is scored against a consistent set of parameters and combined into Polecat's core building block, the "event" - delivering uniquely valuable data to every client. On top of that shared foundation, Polecat applies customer-specific methodology, turning the same underlying data into a solution that is tailored to how each client defines and measures risk, and that becomes genuinely their own. Together, these two factors underpin more than a decade of proprietary event data that is independent (outside-in, not self-reported), quantified (every event is scored, not sentiment-flavoured), comparable (across peers, industries, and ten-plus years of consistent scoring), auditable (every score traces back to a named source event), real-time (today's signal read against a decade of precedent) enables early prediction on signals of change.
Polecat deploys this intelligence into enterprise programmes through a two-layer model. Layer one is day-to-day signal detection and calibration: Polecat learns what a client cares about: their definitions, their thresholds - then monitors for those specific signals daily or weekly, so clients are never blindsided. Layer two is monthly and quarterly aggregation: Polecat steps back to see what has actually moved, separating one-off noise from signals that are growing or connect to something seen months earlier, and builds this into a forward-looking scenario view of what the landscape could look like six months out. Clients access this intelligence however it fits their workflow: as Intelligence Briefs, horizon scans and other metric driven reports available via the software platform.

Pricing
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.

Dimensions summary
This contract combines three pricing dimensions. First, you choose a license tier: Standard, Premium, or Enterprise. Standard is open to all, Premium covers set license requirements, and Enterprise supports multiple teams or use cases. Second, each tier includes an expected fair-usage entity quantity, and you can buy added entity packages if you need more coverage. Third, you can add user seats beyond what your tier includes. So your total cost scales with the tier you select, the number of entities you track, and the number of user seats you require.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
An entity is a subject you track for risk and reputation intelligence, such as your own organisation or a peer company. Each tier includes a fair-usage entity allowance. If you want to monitor more entities than that allowance covers, you buy added entity packages on top of your tier.
Your license tier sets the base and includes a fair-usage entity allowance plus some user seats. You add entity packages if you track more entities, and add user seats if more people need access. All three charges apply together. Entity coverage and seat count each raise cost independently of the tier.
No. Added user seats are billed as extra units on top of what your tier already includes. You pay the per-seat charge only for the additional seats. Your existing included seats and your chosen tier price stay the same. Upgrading tiers is a separate decision from adding seats.
