You pay based on your actual usage across three separate meters. The Active Profile meter counts profiles that are live and in use. The Inactive Profile meter counts profiles that are stored but not active. The API Call meter counts requests made through the platform's programming interface. Each meter is billed independently, so your total cost reflects how many active profiles, inactive profiles, and API calls you consume. There are no fixed tiers or instance sizes. Costs scale up or down with your consumption in each category.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What is the difference between an active profile and an inactive profile for billing?
An active profile is one that is live and in use on the platform, such as a published provider or faculty profile. An inactive profile is stored but not currently live. Each is metered separately, so moving a profile between states shifts the charge from one meter to the other.
What counts as one API call for billing?
An API call is a single request made through the platform's programming interface. This includes requests from integrations connecting content, provider data, research systems, or website publishing workflows. Each request is counted individually, so higher integration traffic raises this meter.
How do the three meters combine on my bill, and which one drives my cost?
All three meters bill independently and appear together on one invoice. Profile-count meters usually drive cost when you host many directory or faculty profiles. The API Call meter grows with integration activity and heavy programmatic use. Your total reflects consumption in each category added together.
