You pay based on how many messages you send, billed per 1,000 messages. The four dimensions form usage tiers by monthly volume: 0-10k, 10k-500k, 500k-2,000k, and over 2,000k messages. As your total message volume grows, your usage moves into a different tier with its own per-1k rate. This is usage-based pricing, so you are charged for what you actually send rather than a fixed subscription. This service builds an IoT platform to collect, transform, store, and visualize sensor data in your own cloud environment.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one message for billing purposes?
A message is one data payload sent to the platform from your IoT devices or sensors. You are billed per 1,000 messages sent. The service collects, transforms, stores, and visualizes this sensor data in your cloud environment. Each individual data transmission counts toward your total message volume.
When my monthly message volume crosses a tier boundary, which rate applies?
Your usage falls into one of four tiers based on total monthly message volume: 0-10k, 10k-500k, 500k-2,000k, and over 2,000k. As your volume grows, it moves into a different tier with its own per-1k rate. The transition follows your actual usage automatically.
Am I charged a fixed fee if I send no messages in a month?
This is usage-based pricing, so you pay for the messages you actually send, billed per 1,000. If you send fewer messages, your charges are lower. There is no fixed subscription fee separate from message volume in these dimensions.

"This CFT will create following AWS resources to make an IoT-CS environment.
DynamoDB, S3 (IoT data storing part)
Athena, Glue (IoT data manipulation)
EC2 (User application)
Network configuration applying.
Roles and Policies for above resources and operations.
Availability zone that should be same as No.4 (Network ocnfiguration)."
CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."
