You pay by the hour based on the ARM-based EC2 instance type you run. The software cost is the same product on every instance; your hourly rate rises with the compute, memory, or storage capacity of the instance you select. There are no separate tiers or add-ons. Pick the instance that fits your workload, and billing scales with your usage hours across compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, and general-purpose families.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
The software fee meters running instance-hours. A stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software charge. You may still pay underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes while stopped. Billing for this listing resumes only when the instance is running.
Each dimension covers one running ARM-based EC2 instance of that size, preloaded with the hardened, PCI-compliant Oracle Linux 8 image. The same software runs on every instance. Compliance documentation and security controls come built in. You pay per hour for each running instance.
Each running instance bills independently at its own hourly rate. Running 100 instances multiplies charges by the number of instances and their per-hour rates. There is no volume tier or bundled discount. Your total is the sum of each instance's running hours times its rate.

How to connect to the VM:
To connect to your instance, the use of SSH via port 22 is necessary. The default username for establishing this connection is ec2-user. Hardening Notice and Assistance
This image comes pre-configured with PCI compliance already integrated. However, it's worth noting that the use of a hardened system could call for certain adaptations. The advanced security measures might restrict some functionalities or require additional actions for certain operations due to its hardened nature. Should any issues arise, we recommend reaching out to the software provider for further assistance.

-To ensure optimal performance, it's advised that you perform updates routinely alongside adopting newly released versions from Citadel.
