    This comprehensive 4-day course is designed to address real-world architectural challenges using AWS services. Each module presents a unique scenario, allowing you to explore AWS solutions through discussions and hands-on exercises. You’ll gain insights into best practices for managing multi-account setups, hybrid connectivity, networking, container services, CI/CD pipelines, security, DDoS protection, data lakes, edge services, migration strategies, and cost optimization.

    The course concludes with an AWS Jam, a gamified team-based event where participants solve challenges based on course concepts. This hands-on experience enhances your skills, allowing you to explore AWS services in practical scenarios and validate your expertise in the AWS Cloud.

    Course Objectives

    In this course, you will learn to:

    • Understand and apply the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
    • Secure Amazon S3 connections with VPC endpoints in a lab.
    • Use AWS Organizations, OUs, and SCPs to manage permissions.
    • Compare multi-account management tools, including AWS Control Tower.
    • Design hybrid networks to handle increased traffic and comply with FIPS standards.
    • Optimize hybrid infrastructures with solutions like AWS Direct Connect and Storage Gateway.
    • Simplify network configurations with Transit Gateway and PrivateLink.
    • Deploy and manage containers using Amazon ECS, EKS, and AWS Fargate.
    • Automate CI/CD pipelines with AWS developer tools, including CodePipeline.
    • Identify and protect against DDoS attacks using AWS WAF and Shield Advanced.
    • Secure data at rest and in transit with AWS KMS and Secrets Manager.
    • Set up and query data lakes using AWS Lake Formation.
    • Enhance application performance and security with edge services like CloudFront.
    • Manage AWS costs using cost optimization tools.
    • Plan and execute workload migrations using AWS migration tools.
    • Demonstrate your skills in real-world AWS use cases during the AWS Jam.

    Prerequisites

    We recommend that attendees of this course have:

    • Knowledge of core AWS services (Compute, Storage, Networking, IAM).
    • Completed Architecting on AWS training or equivalent experience.
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification (preferred).

    Day 1

    Module 1: Reviewing Architecting Concepts

    • Review best practices from Architecting on AWS.
    • Hands-On Lab: Secure S3 VPC endpoint connections.

    Module 2: Single to Multiple Accounts

    • Manage multi-account setups with AWS Organizations.
    • Simplify access using AWS SSO and Control Tower.

    Module 3: Hybrid Connectivity

    • Explore VPN, Direct Connect, and Route 53 Resolver for hybrid setups.
    • Optimize bandwidth and costs with resilient connectivity solutions.

    Module 4: Specialized Infrastructure

    • Extend cloud infrastructure with Outposts and Local Zones.
    • Integrate 5G networks using AWS Wavelength.

    Module 5: Connecting Networks

    • Simplify private connections with Transit Gateway.
    • Lab: Configure Transit Gateway and explore PrivateLink.

    Day 2

    Module 6: Containers

    • Compare containers to virtual machines and their cost benefits.
    • Deploy containers with ECS, EKS, and Fargate.
    • Lab: Deploy an application with Amazon EKS on Fargate.

    Module 7: CI/CD Pipelines

    • Optimize CI/CD workflows using AWS developer tools like CodePipeline.

    Module 8: High Availability & DDoS Protection

    • Identify and mitigate DDoS attacks with AWS WAF and Shield Advanced.
    • Automate security at scale with AWS Firewall Manager.

    Module 9: Securing Data

    • Encrypt and secure sensitive data with AWS KMS and Secrets Manager.

    Module 10: Data Lakes

    • Explore data lakes and warehouses using AWS Lake Formation.
    • Lab: Set up and query a data lake.

    Day 3

    Module 11: Edge Services

    • Optimize edge performance with CloudFront and Lambda@Edge.
    • Lab: Use AWS Storage Gateway and DataSync for migrations.

    Module 12: Cost Optimization

    • Analyze and manage AWS costs with tagging, reporting, and control tools.

    Module 13: Migrating Workloads

    • Explore AWS migration tools and the 7 Rs of migration.
    • Use AWS SCT for database migrations.

    Module 14: Review Projects

    • Apply course concepts to hybrid connectivity and cost optimization challenges.

    Day 4

    AWS Jam

    • Participate in team-based challenges.
    • Solve real-world AWS use cases in a gamified environment.

    Important: Bring your notebook (Windows, Linux, or Mac) to the training. Labs are browser-based, and no software installation is required.
