See AWS Free Tier for more details. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you run. Each dimension maps to a specific AWS instance size, so your rate scales with the compute, memory, and CPU profile you choose. Smaller instances like t3.nano and t2.micro suit light workloads. General-purpose options such as the m-series and t-series handle balanced needs. Compute-focused c-series instances target processing loads, while memory-focused r-series instances fit memory-heavy use. Software runs on top of your normal AWS infrastructure charges. Pick the instance that matches your capacity requirements, and your hourly cost follows that selection.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one billing unit mean, and am I charged when the instance is stopped?
Each unit is one hour that your chosen EC2 instance type runs. The software meters running time only. When you fully stop an instance, hourly software charges stop too. Underlying AWS storage or reserved resources may still incur AWS fees, but the software licence bills only active running hours.
How does hourly billing work if I switch to a different instance type?
Your hourly rate follows whichever instance type is actively running. If you change from a t3.micro to an m5.large, your charge switches to the m5.large rate for the hours it runs. There is no upfront commitment, so you pay only for the hours each selected instance runs.
Does this pricing include support or maintenance, or only the software runtime?
The hourly charge covers the software running on your chosen instance type. ATH Infosystems provides maintenance support, including version upgrades, security updates, and vulnerability handling, with engineers available around the clock. For specifics on what the maintenance covers for your deployment, contact the vendor.
