Couchbase on Ubuntu 24.04 with Free Maintenance Support by ATH Infosystems
is a repackaged software offering wherein additional charges apply for support.
Couchbase is a distributed NoSQL database platform designed for modern applications
that require flexible data models, high performance, low-latency access, scalability,
and high availability. It provides document-oriented JSON data storage, key-value
operations, SQL++ querying, indexing, search, analytics, and application integration
capabilities within a unified data platform.
This pre-configured Couchbase environment on Ubuntu 24.04 provides developers,
database administrators, DevOps teams, and enterprises with a ready-to-use database
platform for deployment on AWS EC2. Couchbase can support web and mobile applications,
real-time systems, content management, personalization, IoT workloads, analytics,
and other data-intensive applications.
Couchbase uses a flexible JSON document model that allows applications to store and
retrieve semi-structured data. SQL++ provides SQL-style querying for JSON documents,
while indexing capabilities can improve data retrieval for supported workloads.
Couchbase also provides clustering, replication, and high-availability capabilities
for distributed database environments.
Key Features of Couchbase:
Distributed NoSQL database platform for modern applications.
Flexible JSON document-oriented data model.
High-performance key-value data access.

If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you choose to run this software. The 21 dimensions map to specific AWS instance types across several families. General-purpose sizes (t2, t3, m3, m4, m5) suit balanced workloads. Compute-optimized sizes (c3, c4, c5) favor processing power. Memory-optimized sizes (r3, r4, r5) favor RAM-heavy needs. Within each family, larger sizes carry more vCPU and memory, so hourly rates rise with capacity. You pick one instance type; charges accrue only for the hours you run it. Separate AWS infrastructure fees also apply.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I get for the hourly rate on each instance type?
Each hourly rate covers the Couchbase software running on one EC2 instance of that size. The instance type sets the vCPU and memory you receive. For example, t3.nano gives minimal resources, while r5.large provides more RAM. You pick one type per running instance, and it defines your capacity.
Am I charged when my instance is stopped or paused?
Software charges accrue only while the instance runs. If you stop or fully power off the instance, hourly software charges stop. Stopped instances may still incur separate AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but the software licence meters running hours only.
Is the maintenance support included in the hourly price, or billed separately?
The listing bundles maintenance support with the software, and both are covered by the hourly rate for your chosen instance type. The vendor provides version upgrades, security upgrades, and vulnerability handling. For details on response times or scope, contact the vendor directly.
