Overview
Time Machine provides software virtual clocks that enable you to time travel your applications into the future or the past, facilitating time shift testing on your date & time sensitive application logic, such as month end, quarter end, year-end processing, billing cycle, work flow, regulatory go live, and policy life cycle. Time Machine is transparent to applications and databases so no code modification is required to do time shift testing and system clock is never modified. Time Machine eliminates the need to reset system clock, which is time consuming, error prone and not possible under Active Directory or Kerberos secured environment. Testers would be able to time travel by themselves or automate time travel with test scripts without awaiting administrators to change time. Virtual clocks can be set at group, user and process level with clock speed to set to normal, frozen, accelerated or decelerated. Multiple virtual clocks in the same test environment enable concurrent testing of different date/time; to save hardware and software costs. Time Machine is a market proven solution since 1997. 47 of Fortune 100 and hundreds of Global 1000 companies utilize Time Machine to increase productivity and save costs, such as AMEX, Australia Tax Office, BBC, Boeing, Centrica, Covered California, Discover, Fed Ex, Federal Reserve Bank, French Telecom, National Australia Bank, and Zurich Insurance. Highlights
- Time Machine is transparent to applications and databases, so no code modification is required to time travel and the system clock is never modified.
- Time Machine intercepts your file system date and time calls. If the caller is configured with a virtual clock and the program is not on the exclusion list, virtual time is returned, otherwise system time is returned.
- Virtual time can be in the future or in the past. You can also adjust the clock speed: normal, frozen, accelerated or decelerated.
