VoicePatrol uses a single usage-based dimension. You pay per audio-hour processed, billed by the UserHrs unit. There are no tiers, instance sizes, or fixed monthly commitments. Your cost scales directly with how many hours of voice audio the service analyzes. Muted time is not counted, since audio processing only runs when unmuted. This keeps billing tied to actual moderation activity across your voice channels.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one audio-hour for billing?
An audio-hour measures the voice audio the service actively analyzes. Time accrues only while the SDK is unmuted and processing. Muted periods do not count. You mirror your voice engine's mute state into the SDK, so billing tracks actual moderation activity, not total session time.
Am I charged when players are not speaking or the SDK is muted?
No. Usage time increments only when the SDK is unmuted and processing audio. Setting the muted state stops audio processing, so no audio-hours accrue. The recommended pattern mutes the SDK whenever a player leaves voice chat or backgrounds the app. Your bill reflects only active processing time.
Does cost change if I enable extra features like age verification or Voice Business Intelligence?
Billing stays tied to the single audio-hour unit. You enable age verification and Voice Business Intelligence through flags during SDK setup at no separate line item shown here. Cost still scales with the hours of voice audio processed, regardless of which optional features you turn on.
