Overview
This CloudFormation template will deploy a 3 node mTLS and JMX enabled Apache Kafka 3.8.0 cluster in Zookeeper-mode in public or private subnets across 3 AZs. The Kafka-Logs are on a separate EBS volume from the OS.
Each node will manage Zookeeper, Kafka-Broker (Server) and Kafka-Connect via systemd services.
OS and Kafka JMX metrics are captured and available to be integrated with your current Observability framework.
