You pay by the hour based on the AWS EC2 instance type you run this compliance automation software on. Two options are available. The m5.2xlarge rate applies to a general-purpose instance with balanced compute and memory. The t3.2xlarge rate applies to a burstable instance suited to variable workloads. Both are billed per hour, so your cost scales with how long the instance runs. Choose the instance type that matches your workload needs. Standard AWS infrastructure charges for the instance apply separately from the software hourly rate.

The hourly software rate meters running instance-hours only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. Note that stopped instances may still incur separate AWS storage fees for attached volumes. The software license bills solely on the time the instance actively runs.
You pay per hour the chosen instance runs. Continuous compliance monitoring collects evidence and validates controls in real time, so the instance typically runs around the clock. That means near-constant hours accrue. Short-lived or scheduled workloads would accrue fewer hours and lower cost.
