Containers are lightweight, portable execution environments that wrap server application software in a filesystem that includes everything it needs to run. Container applications run on supported container runtimes and orchestration services, such as Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) or Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS). Both eliminate the need for you to install and operate your own container orchestration software by managing and scheduling containers on a scalable cluster of virtual machines.

Usage instructions
Background: Once a private offer has been negotiated and accepted, your AWS account is then granted access to our S3 artifact bucket. This bucket contains all the necessary artifacts required to run the FraimWRX product out of the box which includes the versioned code artifacts, additional user documentation, and a client-specific license file.
AWS Services Used/Deployed: -Cloudformation -S3 -CodeBuild -CodePipeline -Parameter Store -ECS -EFS -MSK -EC2 -EMR -VPC -IAM -Elasticache (Redis) -CloudWatch
Pre-Requisites: User must have basic knowledge on how to deploy a CloudFormation template Additional knowledge of the following would be useful: -Terraform -The listed services above (in particular: AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodePipeline, EFS)
Initial Setup - Step-by-Step Bootstrap Instructions:
- Your account will receive access to our S3 artifact bucket
- In the S3 bucket, navigate to the version you want to deploy (i.e. 2.411.0)
- Deploy the provided CloudFormation bootstrap template: cloudformation.yml Note: There are default parameters which allow the product to be run out of the box. However, these are customizable.
- CloudFormation will deploy the bootstrap resources required to build the FraimWRX environment via CodeBuild/CodePipeline
Deploy the FraimWRX Environment via CodePipeline Via the AWS Console:
- Navigate to AWS CodePipeline
- Find the fraimwrx-ci-cd-deploy pipeline
- Select Release change to deploy the pipeline
Destroy the FraimWRX Environment via CodePipeline: The FraimWRX environment is deployed via CodePipeline. Via the AWS Console:
- Navigate to AWS CodePipeline
- Find the fraimwrx-ci-cd-destroy pipeline
- Select Release change to deploy the pipeline
