Dfns is the leading Core Banking Platform that helps fintechs and financial institutions manage digital asset operations and build applications onchain. Our programmable wallet platform brings together transaction management, workflow governance, key orchestration, and third-party integrations into one secure operating system for blockchains, enabling custody, payments, trading, tokenization, and banking.
Dfns is a Core Banking Platform built for banks, fintechs, custodians, exchanges, payment providers, and enterprise teams that need to run digital asset operations with the same rigor, control, and reliability expected from core financial infrastructure. It provides a unified operating system for blockchains that brings together wallets, assets, users, organizations, policies, approvals, transaction orchestration, and auditability into one programmable platform.
At its core, Dfns helps institutions move beyond fragmented wallet tooling and operate digital assets through a single multichain system. The platform supports more than 100 blockchains, protocols, and integrations, allowing clients to manage custody, payments, trading, treasury, tokenization, and broader banking use cases without rebuilding their stack for each asset, chain, or geography. This gives teams one consistent foundation to launch new products, enter new markets, and scale operations across business lines.
Dfns is designed API first. Every major capability, from wallet creation and key management to transaction signing, workflow automation, policy enforcement, and recovery, is accessible programmatically. That makes it possible to embed wallets directly into financial products, automate internal operations, and build onchain applications without relying on manual processes or UI driven workarounds. The result is a platform built for speed, scale, and repeatability, whether the goal is powering a consumer app, a treasury workflow, a trading operation, or an institutional custody environment.
Security is a core design principle. Dfns uses advanced cryptography and secure key orchestration so that no single person, device, or system can move assets alone. Depending on client requirements, the platform can support MPC based architectures, HSM integrations, BYOK models, and secure environments including SaaS, hybrid, and on premises deployments. It also includes fine grained identity and access controls, hardware backed authentication, policy based approvals, and detailed audit logs. This architecture gives clients a strong security posture without sacrificing usability or operational speed.
Dfns is also built for compliance ready operations. Its governance and policy engine enables institutions to enforce approval workflows, segregation of duties, access rules, and market specific controls directly at the wallet layer. That gives organizations a durable control framework they can adapt across jurisdictions and products without rearchitecting their systems each time regulation evolves. The platform is designed to help clients meet demanding operational, security, and regulatory expectations as they expand globally.
Performance and reliability matter just as much as feature depth. Dfns is built for mission critical financial operations, with high throughput, low latency signing, and distributed architecture designed for continuous availability. Clients use it to handle large transaction volumes, complex approval logic, and fast moving business requirements without creating bottlenecks for engineering or operations teams.
Founded in 2020, Dfns has become a trusted infrastructure partner for more than 400 financial institutions and fintechs, including Kraken, Broadridge, Standard Chartered, Stripe, Circle, IBM, Apex, and Susquehanna. Backed by $30 million in funding from investors including White Star Capital, Further Ventures, Motive Partners, Bpifrance, Coinbase, Hashed, 6MV, and Semantic, Dfns is building the secure, programmable financial infrastructure layer for the next generation of digital asset products and services.

You choose from three subscription tiers billed as annual contracts. Starter, Basic, and Pro form a scaling ladder, each expanding capacity and capabilities as you move up. Starter targets developers getting started. Basic supports startups building and collaborating as teams. Pro helps companies scale and manage digital assets under compliance requirements. Each tier includes set allowances for wallets, blockchains, and monthly signatures, with higher tiers adding more. Pro allows excess wallet usage on a pay-as-you-go basis. All tiers are self-service, so you can upgrade in the dashboard at any time.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one signature for the monthly signature allowance?
A signature is produced whenever a transaction is authorized and signed by the key management service. Starter includes 100 signatures per month, Basic includes 1,000, and Pro includes 10,000. Higher volumes are available on request.
What happens if I exceed the wallet allowance included in my tier?
Pro includes a set wallet allowance and permits excess usage on a pay-as-you-go basis. Additional wallets are priced on a volume basis. Starter and Basic include fixed wallet allowances. To scope excess wallet pricing for your needs, contact the vendor.
Can I deploy signing infrastructure in my own cloud or on-premises?
Pro supports hybrid deployment with client-hosted signers. Starter and Basic do not include hybrid or on-premises signer options. On-premises deployment configurations are scoped per deployment, so contact the vendor to arrange the right setup.
