What we do? We provide the following services with Commencis Managed Services for your AWS workloads:
- Proactive Monitoring and Alert Management: continuously monitoring various metrics, such as system performance, resource utilization, application health, network traffic, and security indicators. The goal is to identify potential issues before they escalate into critical problems or cause downtime. Proactive monitoring typically involves using monitoring tools and software that collect data in real-time or at regular intervals. This data is analyzed to detect patterns, anomalies, or deviations from normal behavior. By monitoring proactively, organizations can anticipate problems, optimize performance, and prevent disruptions.
- 24/7 Support and Incident Response: It is critical to take quick actions to remediate any technical issue encountered in production environments to provide the service continuity which is necessary to secure customers’ experience. 24/7 Support and Incident Response service spans from the occurrence of such technical issue to its remediation.
- Security and Compliance: is comprehensive, covering every aspect of protecting data, applications, and infrastructure in cloud environments while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. By addressing each component thoroughly, organizations can achieve robust security and compliance, safeguarding their assets and maintaining trust with customers and stakeholders.
- Cost and Performance Optimization: involves managing cloud resources efficiently to minimize costs while maximizing performance. This process ensures that organizations get the most value from their cloud investments by balancing expenditure with system performance and reliability.
- Backup and Disaster Recovery: Cloud Backup involves copying data and storing it on a remote server hosted by a cloud service provider. This process ensures that a reliable copy of data is available in the event of data loss, corruption, or hardware failure. AWS Backup and Veeam are the services used for this purpose. Disaster Recovery (DR) focuses on restoring critical IT systems, applications, and data to a functional state after a disaster or significant outage. The goal is to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity. AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery service is the default service used for DR requirements.
- Change Management / Service Request: it encompasses a comprehensive set of processes and activities designed to manage changes efficiently and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to services and maintaining security, compliance, and performance.
- Advisory: includes answering technical questions on cloud and AWS to identify optimum solutions with evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of the alternatives, to run proof of concept project to see capabilities of the solution suggested and validate its effectiveness, collaborate on workshop activities to test new products or to get trained. Advisory service is an effective service to save time and money, and to reduce time-to-market in most cases significantly.
- Documentation: includes documentation of Standard Operation Procedure, Runbook, Architecture Diagram, etc. and also development of infrastructure of code (IaC) script of the production environment. IaC script is in a way the most proper documentation of the environment, which may be used to provision the infrastructure and services quickly if needed.
- Self-Service Managed Service Portal: MSP is a self-service portal used by Commencis MS customers’ authorized contacts. Customers can securely access to MSP to perform invoice tracking, monitoring, assessment reports, cost optimization reports, actual cost reports.
- Invoicing: is about issuing invoices and collecting payments of AWS service consumptions by Commencis instead of AWS directly. Getting the invoices from Commencis comes with financial and operational advantages compared to getting them from AWS directly. Depending on the total amount of the invoice issued, customers may be eligible for additional free managed service hours. Commencis as a Solution Provider Private Offers (SPPO) partner of AWS is eligible to provide Invoicing service.
How we do it? We use Atlassian Jira Service Desk application to collect alerts, incidents and requests from our customers. Support engineers are notified during working hours and 24/7 for critical workloads via OpsGenie integration. We work on the tasks according to the SLA commitments and report the status regularly. Customers are welcomed to use Managed Service Portal application to track cases, AWS costs, monitor dashboards, view reports, etc.
