Install your software stack with just a few clicks, licensed and ready to go! By using this bundle you are renting all your necessary licenses on an hourly basis. You get your support from MidVision, an IBM Business Partner and supplier of this bundle with Amazon EC2. MidVision RapidDeploy is installed to allow you to get started quickly and easily, but also perform your ongoing product installations administrative tasks. A RapidDeploy quick start console menu lets you create and manage objects directly from the command line, even with no prior experience. The MidVision RapidDeploy web UI lets you easily upgrade products as well as quickly and easily deploy, rollback or redeploy application and configuration changes to your stack environment, OS or other software or configuration you install on the AMI.

Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for a ready-to-run image bundling WebSphere Application Server Base v9, MQ v9, and the RapidDeploy tool. The many line items are all Amazon EC2 instance types, not separate product editions. Your rate depends on the instance type you launch, which scales with its vCPU count. Larger instances carry higher hourly rates. You pay only while an instance runs; stopped instances incur no charge. You can run any number of instances, each billed at its own type rate. Choose the instance size that matches your workload's compute needs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
You pay for the right to run the instance, standard support, and the licenses for the bundled WebSphere Base v9, MQ v9, and RapidDeploy software while the instance runs. The rate covers software and license costs together. Underlying AWS infrastructure charges are separate.
No software charges accrue while an instance is in the stopped state. You pay only for launched, running instances, billed by each hour or part-hour of running time. This makes the model useful for test, disaster recovery, and peak-only workloads that sit idle much of the time.
There is no limit on the number of instances you can run. Each is charged at the hourly rate for the instance type you launch. Rates track the instance vCPU count, so a larger type costs more per hour. The instances bill independently and add together on your invoice.
