GeoMedia on AWS is a cloud based deployment of Hexagons GeoMedia GIS platform. It provides scalable, secure, and high performance geospatial data management, analysis, and visualization capabilities, leveraging AWS infrastructure for flexible access, integration, and cost efficiency.
GeoMedia on AWS is the deployment of Hexagons GeoMedia, a powerful GIS software within the AWS cloud environment. This setup enables organizations to manage, analyze, and visualize spatial data without relying on on premises servers, benefiting from AWSs global infrastructure, reliability, and scalability.
In an AWS deployment, GeoMedia is installed on Amazon EC2 instances running Windows Server, with geospatial databases hosted on Amazon RDS or Amazon Aurora. Data storage and sharing can be integrated with Amazon S3 for large geospatial datasets, while security and access control are managed via AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM).
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.

GeoMedia by Geotwins uses a single pricing option billed as a one-year contract for one user. You pay per user for the annual term, so cost scales by adding more single-user licenses. There are no tiers, instance sizes, or usage add-ons to choose from. This GIS platform supports spatial analysis, aerial imagery, engineering data editing, and web-based access. Your license covers one named user for twelve months.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one user for the Single User Annual license?
One license covers a single named user for twelve months. Each person who needs access requires their own annual license. To add more users, you buy additional single-user licenses. The count is based on individual user accounts, not shared logins or devices.
What capabilities does the annual single-user license include?
Your license covers the GIS platform features. You get spatial analysis, water and transport network analysis, aerial imagery and satellite views, engineering-level geographic data editing, and three-dimensional web-based access. Permission management and data security controls are included. No desktop licenses are needed to work when internet access is unstable.
How does my cost change if my team grows during the year?
Cost scales by adding more single-user annual licenses. Each new user needs a separate license for the twelve-month term. There are no tiers, instance sizes, or usage add-ons that change the price. The per-user annual fee applies the same way for each license you add.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
