XACK RADIUS is a RADIUS server product that has been provided for carrier-oriented authentication systems that require large scale, high performance, and high availability. Based on the program that XACK first developed, it is a "pure Japanese-made commercial RADIUS product" under the XACK brand, which has undergone numerous enhancements.

    Overview

XACK Inc. began providing RADIUS servers to mobile carriers in 2003, and has since gone on to provide RADIUS servers, DHCP servers, and DNS servers to a variety of carriers. XACK RADIUS has been highly praised by customers, and has the following features:

    1. RADIUS world-class processing performance
    • A RADIUS server with high processing performance by incorporating an in-memory DB
    • A configuration that minimizes the performance impact on authentication processing during multitasking such as DB access and log output
    1. Flexible customization
    • 100% in-house full-scratch development allows for flexible customization and can support individual authentication processing methods required by carrier systems
    • Object files are separated for each function, minimizing development time
    1. Home functions (authentication, etc.) and Proxy functions are provided as a set with a free bundled UI product
    2. RADIUS authentication plugin allows for a variety of usage scenarios
    • Specific attributes are assigned to each responding user and RADIUS client
    • Dynamic IP address assignment
    • Traffic statistics
    1. Tenant function support
    • It is possible to use specific source/destination IP addresses, Realm information, and Called-Station-Id attribute values as tenant determination conditions, and respond using the authentication method or authentication plugin corresponding to the matching tenant.

    Highlights

    • This is a highly reliable commercial RADIUS server made entirely in Japan. All source code is developed in-house, so there are no vulnerabilities that come with open source (such as FreeRADIUS).
    • RADIUS authentication plugin allows for a variety of usage scenarios
    • Support in Japanese by Japanese staff. Unlike overseas products, Japanese staff will provide support in Japanese via email and telephone.
