Overview
Chaos Gears delivers healthcare data migration and analytics on AWS end-to-end: discovery, regulatory mapping, design, build, integration, production rollout, and ongoing support.
We move clinical, administrative, and operational data off legacy on-premises stores (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MUMPS, InterSystems Cache) and proprietary EHR or HIS systems (Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth, eClinicalWorks, OpenMRS, regional Polish systems) to HIPAA-eligible AWS services. Every engagement is grounded in the customer's compliance boundary from day one (HIPAA where applicable, GDPR and RODO for European customers, plus relevant local clinical-data regulations) and produced with documented data lineage suitable for regulatory review.
Typical engagements include legacy EHR migration to AWS, FHIR-native clinical data platforms on Amazon HealthLake, medical imaging archives on Amazon S3 with DICOMweb access, claims and billing analytics on Amazon Redshift, clinical-research data marts, and AI/ML foundations for population health, value-based care, and clinical decision support.
Standards supported include FHIR R4, HL7 v2 and v3, DICOM, LOINC, SNOMED CT, and ICD-10.
The platform is deployed into the customer's own AWS account and uses HIPAA-eligible AWS services including Amazon HealthLake, AWS HealthOmics (where genomics is in scope), Amazon Comprehend Medical and Amazon Transcribe Medical (for unstructured clinical text and voice), Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3, AWS Glue, AWS DMS, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon MSK, AWS Lake Formation, Amazon Athena, Amazon SageMaker, AWS Step Functions, AWS Lambda, Amazon Aurora and Amazon RDS, AWS IAM, AWS KMS, and Amazon CloudWatch. AWS Business Associate Addendum (BAA) coverage is verified for every service used in the workload.
Chaos Gears is an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner with the AWS Data and Analytics Competency, the Migration Competency, the Generative AI Competency, and the Agentic AI Competency. We have shipped production data platforms for customers in healthcare and adjacent regulated industries (insurance, financial services), with measurable outcomes including reduced regulatory reporting cycles, faster onboarding of new data sources, and clean handovers that leave the customer team in full operational control. All engagements run with documented data classifications, AWS KMS customer-managed keys, fine-grained access through AWS Lake Formation, and de-identification or pseudonymisation patterns where the use case allows. Chaos Gears is ISO/IEC 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2 certified on the partner side. Engagements are transacted as private offers on AWS Marketplace, with fixed scope, fixed milestones, production-grade architecture, and a written handover. A typical path from kickoff to a production-ready healthcare data platform is 10 to 18 weeks, depending on source-system count, data-volume migration, and regulatory review depth on the customer side.

Chaos Gears responds to every buyer inquiry within two business days. After a private offer is accepted, we assign a dedicated project lead and Data Architect with healthcare-domain experience who own delivery from discovery through production handover. During delivery, customers receive working-hours support Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 CET, via email and a shared Slack or Microsoft Teams channel, with response SLAs documented in the Statement of Work.
Post-launch support included with every engagement covers: monitoring of pipeline reliability, data freshness, and cost; bug fixes on Chaos Gears-delivered code during the warranty period; and guidance on tuning Amazon Redshift workloads, Amazon HealthLake datastores, dbt models, and AWS Lake Formation governance settings. Extended managed services (24/7 on-call, evolution sprints, new pipelines, additional source systems, regulatory-reporting changes, BI assets, and dimensional model changes) are available through a follow-on private offer.
For issues related to underlying AWS services, including questions on HIPAA-eligible service coverage and BAA scope, Chaos Gears coordinates escalation with AWS Support and the AWS Healthcare team on the customer's behalf where required, using our AWS Premier Tier Services Partner standing.
