AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pick a device tier that sets your capacity. Tier 1 supports up to 30 managed devices with 5GB of logs per day. Tier 2 supports up to 100 managed devices with 25GB of logs per day. Three usage-based dimensions bill separately on top of your tier. You pay per GB of internet outbound data, per GB per month for cloud storage, and per GB per month for archival storage. These usage charges scale with the actual data you send out and retain, so your total cost tracks your traffic and storage volume.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one managed device for the Tier 1 and Tier 2 limits?
A managed device is any security appliance whose logs the service collects and analyzes, such as a firewall unit. Each unit counts against your tier limit. Tier 1 counts up to 30 such devices; Tier 2 counts up to 100. The daily log volume cap applies alongside the device count.
Which charges drive my bill — the device tier or the usage dimensions?
Your tier fee is fixed and sets device and daily log capacity. The three usage dimensions bill separately: outbound data per GB, cloud storage per GB per month, and archival per GB per month. High retention raises storage charges. Heavy outbound transfer raises data charges. All charges add together on one invoice.
How do cloud storage and archival storage charges differ for retaining my logs?
Cloud storage bills per GB per month for logs kept readily accessible. Archival bills per GB per month for logs moved to lower-cost, long-term retention. Recent analytic logs sit in cloud storage; older logs shift to archival. Both meter the volume you retain each month and bill independently.
