You buy the Lemmatizer API through a monthly contract that sets your request quota. The four plans differ only by how many requests you can make each month. Pick the plan that matches your expected monthly volume. Higher plans give more requests for heavier workloads. All plans deliver the same API results and features, so your choice depends on request volume rather than capability.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
One request is one API call that submits text for lemmatization. Each call returns the root forms of the words in your text. You can pass up to 14,336 characters per call, including spaces and any markup. That whole call counts as a single request against your monthly quota.
Your monthly quota resets each billing cycle. The four plans set different request caps: 9,000, 125,000, 750,000, or 2,000,000 requests per month. Extra usage beyond the quota is not billed through this AWS Marketplace contract. Choose a plan that covers your expected monthly volume to avoid interruptions.
The service normally handles about 6 requests per second and scales up to more than 300 per second as traffic grows. Scaling happens periodically, so sending a large burst at once may cause failures. Start near 6 requests per second and increase gradually over a few minutes.
