Cyber security advisory: how it works
Threat Protect is a UK cyber security advisory firm, founded in 2018 and based in London. We help IT and security leaders decide what to buy, renew, certify or stop, then source it, run it and evidence it for their auditors.
How we work
- Assess: a clear picture of where you stand, a board-ready risk summary and a costed roadmap that fixes what matters first.
- Choose: two or three options for each gap, compared side by side across vendors. We hold partner agreements across the market, so the recommendation follows your risk, not our margin.
- Buy: we transact the chosen products through AWS Marketplace, so the spend lands on your AWS bill and may count toward your AWS commitment.
- Run and evidence: we stay accountable after the contract is signed, with every control mapped to Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, SOC 2, DORA or NIS2 so it doubles as audit evidence.
What we cover
- Virtual CISO and board reporting
- Security awareness training and phishing simulation
- Email security and DMARC
- Managed detection and response (MDR) and endpoint protection
- Penetration testing and continuous testing
- Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, SOC 2, DORA and NIS2 compliance
- AI governance, ISO 42001 and EU AI Act readiness
Who we work with
Regulated and mid-sized organisations in the UK and Europe, including financial services, healthcare, education and professional services.
Related AWS services and AWS Marketplace products
Our assessments cover workloads running on AWS and use AWS Security Hub, AWS Config and AWS Audit Manager for evidence. We also buy and manage AWS Marketplace security products on your behalf, including KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training.
Engagement
Fixed-scope assessments or a monthly retainer. Request a private offer and we will reply within two business days.
Who this is for
UK organisations without a full security team, or with a team that needs independent senior input on what to buy, renew and report to the board.
Getting started
Request a private offer on this page. We reply within two business days, hold a scoping call, then send an offer that sets out scope, timeline, deliverables and anything we need from you.
Highlights
- Advice not tied to any one vendor: we compare products across the market and recommend what fits your risk and budget, including when the answer is to buy nothing new.
- Bought on your AWS bill: services and products are priced in private offers through AWS Marketplace, so there is no new supplier to onboard.
- Evidenced for audit: every control we design or run is mapped to your frameworks, so the work doubles as evidence for ISO 27001, SOC 2 and Cyber Essentials.

Contact Threat Protect at hello@threatprotect.co.uk or on +44 20 8146 0470, or book a call at https://www.threatprotect.co.uk/contact . We respond to every enquiry within two business days, and each engagement has a named senior lead as your single point of contact.
How engagements run: after your request we hold a scoping call, then send a private offer that sets out scope, timeline, deliverables and what we need from you, such as read-only access or a named contact. A named senior lead stays with you from scoping to sign-off, and the same contact details reach the team throughout.
