AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for a hardened Rocky Linux 10 image built for ARM-based (Graviton) instances. Pricing is not tiered. Instead, each dimension maps to a specific AWS instance type, and the hourly software rate scales with the size and family you pick. Options span general-purpose (m, t, a1), compute-optimized (c), memory-optimized (r, x), storage-optimized (i, im, is), and GPU (g5g) families. Sizes range from nano and medium up to metal instances. You choose the instance that fits your workload, run it as long as needed, and stop billing when you stop it.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I actually get for the hourly software rate on each instance type?
You get a Rocky Linux 10 image for ARM (Graviton) that is pre-hardened using STIG and NIST security frameworks. The hourly rate is the software license fee. It applies on top of the AWS compute cost for the instance type you launch.
Am I charged the hourly software fee when my instance is stopped or paused?
The software fee meters running hours only. When you stop or terminate an instance, the hourly software charge stops accruing. Stopped instances may still incur separate AWS storage fees, but those are billed by AWS, not as part of this software license.
How does the cost differ between a small instance like t4g.nano and a metal instance like m8gd.metal-48xl?
Pricing is not tiered. Each instance type carries its own hourly software rate that scales with the size and family you choose. Smaller sizes like nano and medium bill less per hour than large multi-core or metal instances. You pay only for the instance type you run.
