Overview
XACK DHCP has the following features that are essential for DHCP services for telecommunications carriers and CATV.
- Large scale, high performance
DHCP server with redundant configuration and high performance for telecommunications carriers and CATV
-
High-speed processing performance of more than 3,000 requests per second
-
Large-scale lease information of more than 5 million IPs can be accommodated
-
Flexible customization according to customer requirements
-
Cluster configuration possible with redundancy function
- Dynamic update of various setting information
For files that require setting changes in daily operations, information can be updated without stopping the service.
Example: Address pool information, terminal information (client MAC address, etc.), DOCSIS template
However, since the setting items related to the operation of XACK DHCP cannot be dynamically updated, the process must be restarted when making changes.
- High availability with redundancy function
Redundant configuration of servers is possible using the ACT/SBY method. Synchronization of the IP address allocation information required for redundancy is performed online at high speed, preventing problems such as duplicate IP address assignment.
-
In addition to the ACT/SBY server, XACK DHCP can also install a backup server and a cold standby server for distribution processing in a remote location.
-
The number of servers for synchronous transfer can be configured to be four or more.
- Generation and distribution of DOCSIS config DHCP function and TFTP function for DOCSIS config distribution can be consolidated into one unit.
-
XACK DHCP includes a TFTP server function and dynamically generates a DOCSIS config after receiving a DHCP request from information such as categories and templates.
-
DOCSIS config generation is performed quickly, so there is no performance impact on DHCP requests.
-
Since it is generated dynamically, the generated DOCSIS config will also change if related information changes.
- High functional expandability due to in-house development
-
XACK DHCP develops all source code in-house, so it can flexibly respond to the unique authentication methods and input/output file formats of communication/CATV operators.
-
Address pool information and client MAC address information can be customized according to the needs of communication operators. The following is an example of customization.
- Supports integration with address pool information provisioning systems
- Supports blacklist/whitelist by MAC address
- Client authentication using vendor options
Highlights
- A highly reliable purely Japanese commercial DHCP server. All source code is developed in-house, and it is free from vulnerability issues that originate from open source (such as ISC DHCP).
- DHCP function and TFTP function for distributing DOCSIS configurations can be consolidated into one unit.
- Support in Japanese by Japanese staff. Unlike overseas products, Japanese staff will provide support in Japanese via email and telephone.

64-bit (x86) Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
