Applisafe bills by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you run it on. You pick one of three compute options: c7i.large, r7i.large, or r7a.large. These are not feature tiers. Each represents a different underlying instance size and family, so your rate follows the hardware you choose. The c7i.large is a compute-focused instance. The r7i.large and r7a.large are memory-focused instances on different processor families. You pay only for the hours the instance runs, plus standard AWS infrastructure charges. Choose the instance that matches your workload's compute and memory needs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
You are billed per instance-hour. One unit equals one hour that the chosen EC2 instance runs Applisafe. The c7i.large, r7i.large, and r7a.large each map to a specific compute and memory size, so your hourly rate follows the instance you launch.
Software charges accrue only while the instance runs. A stopped or powered-off instance does not accrue Applisafe hourly charges. Stopped instances may still incur standard AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but the Applisafe software meters running hours only.
No. Your hourly rate is set by the instance type you select, not by how many applications or machines Applisafe observes. Applisafe ingests and queries data about your monitored virtual machines and containers, but the bill stays tied to the running instance-hours.
