An rUser is a virtual user, or bot, that acts like a real end-user. Each bot accesses your application through the front-end interface and runs your recorded workflow. One rUser equals one simulated concurrent person. The four load options set how many of these bots run at the same time during a test.
Does the Scripting Environment let me run load tests, or only build them?
The Scripting Environment covers creating test scenarios without coding. You click through your application and it builds the workflow scripts for you. It does not generate load on its own. To run tests under load, pair it with one of the concurrent rUser options that match your target traffic level.
If I need to test heavier traffic later, how do I increase the load level?
You choose a concurrent rUser option that matches the load you want to apply: 50, 200, 500, or 1,000. To test heavier traffic, select an option with more concurrent rUsers. The levels do not stack automatically; you pick the level that fits each test.
