AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for one deployment option: a t3.large compute instance. Billing runs on usage, so charges accrue only while the instance runs. The hourly rate covers the software converting X12 EDI transactions into FHIR resources on this instance size. There are no tiers or separate add-ons. Your total cost scales with the number of hours you keep the instance running.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What compute specification does the t3.large instance provide for running the converter?
You run the converter on a t3.large instance, a general-purpose AWS compute size. It uses burstable CPU with moderate memory, suited to processing X12 EDI transactions into FHIR resources. The hourly rate covers the software running on this one instance size. You do not choose other instance types here.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or paused?
Software charges accrue only while the t3.large instance runs. Stopping the instance halts the hourly software charge. Note that AWS may still bill underlying storage or other resources for a stopped instance, but the converter's usage-based charge meters running time only.
Does the hourly rate include data platform integrations or is that separate?
The hourly rate covers the converter software running on the t3.large instance. It converts X12 EDI transactions into FHIR resources and can connect to AWS health data and analytics services. Those connected AWS services carry their own separate AWS charges, not included in this hourly rate.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Infor FHIR Bridge On-Ramp (IFOR) is a clinical integration solution that bridges the gap between legacy data and the modern FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) standard. This solution has preconfigured mappings to convert HL7 v2 and CDA to FHIR. These mappings have been tested by Infor to load directly into AWS Healthlake. Once in AWS Healthlake, the user can leverage AWS tools to do analytics and make clinical decisions.
Convert HL7v2 messages to FHIR R4 in real-time via a simple REST API. Supports 14 message types with optional delivery to AWS HealthLake or any FHIR endpoint. Pay per message, 1,000 free/month.
