The Oracle Linux 10 image has been professionally hardened by the team at Hardened Images, following the Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) - the widely recognized benchmark for secure system configuration. These standards are trusted by government agencies, enterprises, and academic institutions alike, serving as a powerful foundation for meeting modern cybersecurity and compliance requirements.
Built for IT administrators, security engineers, auditors, support staff, and deployment teams, this image simplifies the process of developing, securing, and scaling applications on Linux-based systems. It accelerates your deployment pipeline while maintaining a high-security posture.
By launching a Hardened Images AMI, you reduce operational overhead, cut implementation costs, and mitigate risk - all while deploying faster with confidence.
As a trusted partner to small and mid-sized businesses, Hardened Images helps you establish a secure cloud footprint from day one. We specialize in delivering hardened virtual machines so you can focus on building, knowing your infrastructure is locked down from the start.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for this hardened Oracle Linux 10 image on ARM-based EC2 instances. Pricing is not tiered. Instead, each rate maps to a specific EC2 instance type you choose. Rates scale with the size and family of that instance. Smaller instances like t4g.nano cost less per hour than large or metal instances like x8g.metal-48xl. Compute-optimized (c), memory-optimized (r, x), general-purpose (m, t, a1), storage (i, im, is), and GPU (g5g) families are all covered. You are billed only for the hours each instance runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I actually get for the hourly rate on each instance type?
You get a hardened Oracle Linux 10 image built for ARM-based processors. It runs on the EC2 instance type you select. The rate covers the software license for that image. The underlying compute size and family come from your chosen instance, such as t4g.nano or x8g.metal-48xl.
Am I charged when an instance is stopped or paused?
The hourly software charge meters running time only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. Stopped instances may still incur separate AWS storage fees for attached volumes. You are billed for the software only while the instance runs.
Can I run several instance types at once, and how does that affect my bill?
Yes. You can launch any mix of the listed instance types. Each running instance bills at its own hourly rate. The charges add up independently and appear on the same invoice. Total cost tracks the number, size, and running hours of every active instance.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
