AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
You pay nothing for the Rocky Linux 9 software itself. This listing is free, so your only charge is the standard AWS cost for the EC2 instance you run it on. Each dimension maps to a specific aarch64 (ARM-based) instance type, billed hourly. Your rate scales with the instance you pick. Options range from small sizes like t4g.nano through large bare-metal sizes like m8g.metal-48xl. They span general-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, and storage-optimized families. You choose the instance that matches your workload; the operating system carries no separate fee.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit cover for these Rocky Linux 9 dimensions?
Each dimension maps to one running aarch64 EC2 instance of that type, billed per hour it runs. The Rocky Linux 9 software itself is free, so the metered hour reflects only the standard AWS charge for that specific instance size.
Am I charged for an instance while it is stopped?
Hourly charges apply only while the instance runs. A stopped instance stops accruing hourly instance charges. Because the software is free, there is no separate license fee either way, though attached AWS storage may still incur standard AWS costs.
Does moving to a larger instance size change how I am billed?
Yes. You pick the instance type that fits your workload, and your hourly rate reflects that choice. Larger sizes bill at their own hourly rate. The switch is not automatic; you choose or resize the instance yourself. The operating system adds no fee at any size.

Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
