While designing, building and operating workloads in AWS, our teams support regular evaluation for identifying high-risk issues and identifying improvements, through Well Architected Framework Reviews (WAFR). This approach ensures a comprehensive perspectives on the 6 pillars for providing industrialised, high-performing, resilient, secure, cost-efficient and sustainable business capabilities. We also propose to our customers the same Well Architected Framework Reviews (WAFR) to help them to get the best from their innovative Digital Solutions.

These reviews based on the AWS Well-Architected Framework which describes key concepts, design principles, and architectural best practices focus on the 6 following pillars:

• Operation Excellence
• Security
• Reliability
• Performance Efficiency
• Cost Optimization
• Sustainability

An initial briefing allows to :

• validate the sponsorship for the review,
• select the pillars to study,
• list the required documentation,
• identify the team members to involve
• and identify the format & duration of the review (1 - 2 business days).

The deliverables includes :

• a review report
• and a synthetic Statement of Work (SoW) This SoW lists the concrete actions aiming at reducing the high risks identified (enabling to unlock AWS fundings, see below).

Our end-to-end Cloud Center of Excellence teams can then enable or help to the implementation of these improvement plan. They then regurlarly update the Well Architected Framework Review (WAFR) to reflect the continous improvements and get AWS funding if conditions are met.
