Description
In the United States, your ZIP Code is a better predictor of life expectancy than your genetic code. Access to care is a key factor in individual and community health, as well as overall health equity. HSR.health Care Desert Initiative identifies the impact of insufficient healthcare resource availability on outcomes - and by healthcare service line.
This dataset provides the locations of women's healthcare providers across the U.S., the calculated average distance to the nearest Women's Health clinic for each U.S. ZIP Code, as well as identifies women's healthcare deserts - those communities with insufficient women's healthcare resources to meet the needs of the population.
The Women's Care Desert analysis identifies the locations and communities in the United States where access to hospitals and other providers of women's healthcare services are severely deficient and may constitute a significant barrier to care for Americans. Women's Health Clinic locations in the U.S. are curated and geocoded from U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) data. Women's health clinic locations include practices that offer: obstetrics, gynecology, certified nurse midwives, and gynecological oncology.

This listing uses a contract pricing model with one dimension: Product Access (Units). You buy access to the product through this single dimension, which grants subscribers use of the offering. Pricing is based on the number of units you purchase under your contract term. There are no separate tiers, instance sizes, or usage add-ons to choose between. You commit to the units you need, and that access covers the ZIP Code-level women's care desert data for your subscription.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one unit of Product Access grant me?
One unit grants subscriber access to the US Women's Care Desert data at the ZIP Code level. The unit represents product access rather than a device, seat, or server. You purchase the units needed to cover your subscription under the contract term.
What data does this product deliver at the ZIP Code level?
The product provides women's care desert analysis at the ZIP Code level. This includes measures such as distance to a women's health clinic across geographic areas. Access covers this ZIP Code-level data for the duration of your subscription.
Does my cost change based on how much data I query or use?
No. This listing uses a contract model with one Product Access dimension. Your cost is set by the number of access units you commit to, not by query volume or usage. There are no usage add-ons or tiers that trigger extra charges.
