Manifold is an AI-native data platform built for life sciences-enabling data, science, and security to work together in a self-service model built for the scale and speed of your AI strategy. Manifold brings together in one system the power of a modern data and AI stack with the specialized data workflows of life sciences.
Leading R&D teams, including those at the Broad Institute and biotech companies focused on oncology diagnostics and rare diseases, rely on the Manifold platform to unlock the full potential of their high-value data assets. As the leading AI-native data platform for life sciences, the Manifold platform accelerates scientific discovery by simplifying data management, analysis, and secure teamwork-without building custom infrastructure.
Key Capabilities Simplified, Scalable Data Management-Manifold enables organizations to utilize their own structured data models or automate transformation and ingestion using AI-powered pipelines. Analysis ready data is stored in Manifold's high-performance data lake, unlocking efficient use of the data in downstream applications. Scalable Analysis Workbenches-Build cohorts, answer questions, and create visualizations with AI agents. For advanced analysis, launch elastic R, Python, SAS, Nextflow or Jupyter environments with a single click. Collaboration & Sharing-Share code and data with internal and external research teams in a single governed workspace, backed by audit logs and granular role-and row-level permissions. Study Management-Manage studies efficiently with a mobile-friendly participant portal that supports consent, surveys, biospecimen tracking, and medical-record retrieval-plus live dashboards to monitor recruitment and engagement. Security & Compliance-SOC 2 Type II certified with encryption in transit/at rest, MFA, e-consent, HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11 and GDPR controls delivered through privacy-by-design architecture.
Why Manifold on AWS Manifold is delivered as a fully managed service running natively on AWS. The platform leverages Amazon S3, AWS Batch, IAM and other managed services to provide petabyte-scale storage, burstable compute and enterprise-grade security-without requiring customers to operate any infrastructure. All data processing, storage and analytics occur inside Manifold's hardened AWS environment, ensuring performance and compliance while letting your team focus on science instead of cloud ops.
Proven at Scale 3,000+ automated ingestions executed 50K+ registered users across academia and biopharma 1.5M+ unique study participants represented
Typical Use Cases Build a governed life-science data lake that harmonizes multi-omic and clinical datasets in days, not months. Spin up ad-hoc bioinformatics pipelines to explore variant associations at cohort or population scale. Manage multi-site observational studies with automated consent capture and participant engagement. Enable data scientists and clinicians to ask AI-powered questions and publish reproducible results.
Benefits Accelerate discovery by eliminating manual data wrangling and infrastructure setup. Reduce risk with out-of-the-box compliance and fine-grained access controls. Foster collaboration across institutions while keeping data secure on AWS.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This listing uses a contract pricing model with two dimensions. The Basic Tier covers your core Manifold Platform access under the committed contract term. The Additional Usage dimension charges for consumption beyond what the Basic Tier includes. You start with the platform subscription, then pay Additional Usage as your usage grows. This lets your baseline cost stay fixed while you scale up only when you exceed the included amount. The platform deploys inside your own AWS account, so your data stays in your environment throughout the term.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the Basic Tier of the Manifold Platform include for the committed contract price?
The Basic Tier covers your core platform access under the contract term. This includes connecting clinical, genomic, and real-world data into a governed foundation, role-based access controls, audit trails, and secure data sharing. The platform deploys inside your own AWS account, so your data stays in your environment.
What triggers Additional Usage charges beyond the Basic Tier?
Additional Usage charges apply when your consumption goes past what the Basic Tier includes. The Basic Tier gives you a baseline platform subscription at a fixed cost. Once you exceed that included amount, the Additional Usage dimension meters the overage. Your baseline stays flat until you cross that threshold.
How do the two dimensions combine on my invoice?
Both dimensions bill together. The Basic Tier sets your fixed platform subscription for the contract term. Additional Usage adds charges only for consumption beyond the included amount. For steady usage within the baseline, the Basic Tier drives your cost. Growth beyond it adds Additional Usage charges to the same invoice.
