Overview
Weaviate is a popular open-source low-latency vector database with out-of-the-box support for multimodal media types (text, images, etc.). The database stores both objects and vectors, allowing for combining vector search with structured filtering and the fault tolerance of a cloud-native database. All are accessible through a wide variety of client-side programming languages.

Container image
Containers are lightweight, portable execution environments that wrap server application software in a filesystem that includes everything it needs to run. Container applications run on supported container runtimes and orchestration services, such as Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) or Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS). Both eliminate the need for you to install and operate your own container orchestration software by managing and scheduling containers on a scalable cluster of virtual machines.

Usage instructions
Clicking on 'Quick Launch' will initiate deployment. It opens a Cloud formation template that will guide you through the launch. During the setup, you will be prompted to select your VPC and subnet, ensuring the deployment aligns with your existing network architecture. The template provisions a dedicated Amazon EC2 instance, on which Weaviate is deployed as a Docker container. The EC2 instance is launched in your selected network environment and is associated with a public IP address, enabling direct access to the Weaviate instance via its RESTful API. The EC2 instance is fully owned and billed under your AWS account, ensuring you retain complete control over the infrastructure and associated costs.
