Dimensions summary
You bill by user-hours, based on active streaming sessions. Two deployment models set the base fee. With Self Deployment, you pay a license fee only and run the software on your own infrastructure. With Managed Deployment, you pay one combined fee covering both the license and the hosted infrastructure resources. The Egress Traffic Fee is a separate usage charge for outbound streaming data. You can pair it with either deployment model, and it scales with how much data your sessions send.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Billing is based on Concurrent Users (CCU). A CCU is any single streaming session that is active at a given time. A user-hour measures one active session running for one hour. If ten sessions run for one hour, you accrue ten user-hours.
With Self Deployment, you pay a license fee only and run the software on your own hardware or cloud. With Managed Deployment, one combined fee covers both the license and the hosted infrastructure that the vendor runs for you. You pick one model, not both.
The deployment fee and the Egress Traffic Fee are billed independently and both appear together. The deployment fee scales with active session hours. The Egress Traffic Fee scales with outbound streaming data. Data-heavy, high-resolution sessions push the egress charge higher, since bitrate can range up to 100 Mbps.
