AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for a hardened Debian 11 image running on ARM-based instances. Pricing is not tiered by features. Instead, each dimension maps to a specific AWS instance type, and every instance runs the same hardened software. Your hourly software rate depends on the instance you select. The list spans several families for general-purpose, compute, memory, storage, and graphics workloads. Within each family, sizes scale from nano and medium up to large multi-core and bare-metal options. You choose the instance that fits your compute and memory needs, then pay only for hours used.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one billed hour cover for a given instance type?
One hour equals one running instance of the hardened Debian 11 ARM image on the AWS instance type you selected. Each active instance meters its own hours. Running two instances of the same type bills two separate hourly rates for the overlapping time.
Am I charged for the software when an instance is stopped?
The hourly software rate meters running time only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. Stopped instances may still incur AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but those are separate from this listing's software charge.
How does my cost change if I switch to a different instance type?
Each instance type carries its own hourly software rate. Switching to a larger multi-core or bare-metal option raises your hourly rate; moving to a smaller size lowers it. The software is identical across all types, so only the hourly rate tied to your chosen instance changes.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
