Scale Selenium to Infinity with AWS Lambda

This Amazon Machine Image (AMI) allows you to deploy an EC2 virtual machine that serves as a workbench for deploying Selenium WebDriver in AWS Lambda. Once launched, you can connect to the virtual machine via SSH and use the command-line interface (CLI) to set up Selenium WebDriver in AWS Lambda to automate Chromium. The AMI includes all necessary files, configurations, and sample code for Python and Java, along with a detailed step-by-step installation guide.

    How It Works:

    1. Launch a virtual machine instance using this AMI.
    2. Configure an Identity and Access Management (IAM) user for deployment.
    3. SSH into the virtual machine and configure the IAM user with the AWS CLI tool.
    4. Follow the deployment steps to set up Selenium and Chromium in Python or Java using the pre-installed Docker environment.

    Amazon Machine Image (AMI)

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

    Version release notes

We have updated our development environment to include the deployment of Java 17 based function with Selenium beside the existing Python deployment option. Furthermore Chrome and Chromium are updated to their most recent version.
