AuriQ System's Essentia AMI includes powerful tools to extract, clean, and send your data to your analysis tool of choice. If you need to select specific columns from a csv file and then filter on specific values, in simple or very complicated ways, our AMI offers a quick and fast set of tools to extract the data you need. From server Logs to CSV files, clean files or dirty files, our tools will help you get those precious nuggets of clean data on which you can do your analysis. This AMI includes the AuriQ ETL tools for processing logs, as well as UDB for quickly querying the processed data on memory. It includes other basic tools like your favorite scripting language python. Let us know what else you would like and we will get it on our image!

Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you run Essentia on. The 21 dimensions map to different instance sizes, not feature tiers. Each option carries the same software capability; they differ only in compute, memory, and storage capacity. Larger instances like c3.8xlarge or hs1.8xlarge suit heavier data processing workloads, while smaller instances like t1.micro or m1.small fit lighter tasks. Because Essentia distributes work across virtual machines, you choose the instance that matches your dataset and processing needs. Hourly billing scales with usage, so you pay only while an instance runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Software charges accrue per hour only while an instance runs. Stopped or paused instances do not incur Essentia hourly software charges. Note that underlying AWS storage tied to a stopped instance may still generate separate AWS fees, but the software itself meters running time only.
Yes. Every instance option runs the same Essentia software with its data pre-processing engine and in-memory analytic engine. The dimensions differ only in compute, memory, and storage capacity. You choose the instance that fits your dataset size, not a feature tier.
Essentia uses parallel processing, spreading work across multiple instances. Each running instance meters its own hourly charge. If you run several instances at once, the hourly charges add together across all of them. You pay only for the hours each instance actually runs.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Changed command to call essentia from essentia to ess. Changed to a command line, bash script interface. Added a scanner to categorize data on S3 repositories and store the information in an index file called .auriq.db. Added commands to stream files to whatever command you specify and to execute whatever command you specify. Select command replaced by ess query command.
