This listing bills by the hour across five EC2 instance sizes: t3.small, t3.medium, t3.large, t3.xlarge, and t3.2xlarge. The software itself is free, so your cost reflects only the compute size you run. Each size increases in capacity, letting you match the instance to your workload volume. You pick one instance type and pay for the hours it runs. Larger sizes handle heavier evaluation loads across your environment. There are no tiers or feature differences between sizes — they represent compute capacity only, not separate product editions.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What resources will I get for each hourly t3 instance size?
Each dimension maps to an AWS EC2 t3 instance running the software. The size sets CPU and memory: t3.small is the smallest, scaling up through t3.medium, t3.large, t3.xlarge, and t3.2xlarge. Larger sizes handle more configuration items evaluated per run. You choose the size that fits your environment volume.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or paused?
Software charges apply per hour the instance runs. A fully stopped t3 instance stops accruing hourly software charges. Underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes may still apply while stopped. The software meter counts running hours only, so cost tracks the time your chosen instance is active.
Does the instance size affect how many assets the compliance engine can evaluate?
The software runs checks against stored CMDB data rather than live cloud APIs, so it can schedule runs across large footprints. A larger t3 size gives more CPU and memory to process heavier evaluation loads. You match instance size to how many configuration items you evaluate at once.

CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."

Usage instructions
Create CloudFormation stack from provided template.
Specify parameters:
Stack name
InstanceKeyPair: KeyPair to access EC2 instance.
InstanceType: “t3.medium” is set by default. Instance type depends on how big your AWS environment is (Compliance Engine needs at least 2GB of RAM).
NotifacationEmail: the template will create an SNS Topic notification when the report is ready and uploaded to the S3 bucket. Please, provide an email and ensure your subscription is confirmed to get a notification.
SSHLocation: the template will create a security group to access EC2 instance (if needed). Please provide the IP address(es) to restrict access to this instance via SSH.
Click Next. Setting up Tags for the stack is optional.
Check the box “I acknowledge that AWS CloudFormation might create IAM resources.” and click Create.
Once the stack creation process starts, please check your email which you pasted in the Notification Email field and confirm the subscription to get the notifications.
Wait for the stack creation to complete. Report generation will take at least 2 minutes for an average account size.
Once it is done, you will get the email notification that the report is ready and uploaded to the bucket.
Go to your AWS console, open the S3 bucket and download “report.zip” archive.
Extract it and open “report.html” file in your preferred browser.
