BotManager detects and blocks bad bot traffic to protect real users and improve system efficiency.

    Overview

BotManager is a proactive bot defense and traffic integrity solution. It removes unnecessary traffic, ensures fair access for genuine users, and keeps systems stable and cost efficient.

    [Why You Need BotManager]

Malicious bots now account for about 32% of all internet traffic, and attacks are increasing across industries. Compared to 2020, bot attacks have grown 4.5 times, reaching an average of 5,175 attempts every second. These bots cause unfair access, account takeovers, and resource waste, making proactive defense essential.

    [What BotManager Offers]

BotManager identifies and blocks bad bot and abnormal traffic using 31 policies across five categories, including static and dynamic types. Operators can block by individual user ID and also by site specific LoginID. This reduces wasted infrastructure resources and enables more efficient traffic management. In addition, BotManager provides real-time monitoring and analytics that allow operators to track and analyze bot traffic patterns, delivering valuable insights for service management.

BotManager can also be paired with NetFUNNEL, the virtual waiting room solution. In this configuration, BotManager proactively detects and blocks macros and abnormal traffic at the entry point, ensuring that only genuine user traffic flows into NetFUNNEL. This enables a fair waiting environment, expands opportunities for regular users, prevents server overload, and optimizes costs for companies.

    [BotManager Use Cases]

Today, BotManager is used globally across a wide range of industries, including large ticketing events, public institutions, golf courses, hospitals, and e-commerce.

Concert Ticketing: Protected Korea's largest ticketing platform during a major idol concert. Out of 200 million traffic requests, about 21% were identified as bad bots and blocked.

E-Commerce: Deployed by a Japanese online shopping mall to block automated tools and bypass attempts during limited edition product launches.

Education: Applied at 11 universities to protect course registration and student accounts, detecting and blocking 116,000 malicious bot attempts.

    Highlights

    • BotManager detects and blocks bad bots and abnormal traffic through real time request and behavior analysis, adapting to evolving attack patterns.
    • BotManager combines dynamic and static policies by detecting abnormal request patterns in real time, blocking repetitive or excessive access, and enforcing fixed rules such as header inspection, IP based blocking, and mitigation of automated scripts or abnormal access.Provides real time monitoring and analytics to track bot patterns, trends, and service impact.
    • Integrates with NetFUNNEL to filter out unnecessary traffic so that only genuine users enter the virtual waiting room, ensuring fairness, service stability, and cost efficiency.
