I find the high-quality, hard-to-access content invaluable, like earnings call transcripts, SEC filings, and broker/analyst research—all indexed and searchable in one place. The AI summaries are a game-changer, allowing me to quickly grasp key themes and management tones in long documents. The huge time savings are significant; tasks that used to take hours or days now take just minutes. I appreciate the strong qualitative insight AlphaSense provides, which goes beyond numbers and helps me track themes like pricing pressure and supply chain issues. The collaboration and knowledge-sharing features, where I can highlight, annotate, and share insights with teams, are very helpful in creating a shared research baseline.

AlphaSense is enterprise-level and pricey, not ideal for small firms or occasional users. Getting precise search results sometimes requires manual tweaks or Boolean skills, and some users find results overwhelming. Advanced features can feel overwhelming initially, especially for new users. Exporting specific bits of research or customizing dashboards could be smoother. A few reviews mention customer support and contractual flexibility not always meeting expectations. Some users initially over-search and get too many results, and learning how to refine queries effectively takes a bit of practice.

What do you like best about the product?

I appreciate AlphaSense's AI-powered search, which quickly surfaces the most relevant insights from earnings calls, filings, and research. The ability to get summaries and key highlights saves a lot of time and makes market research much more efficient. I use it alongside Excel/Google Sheets and presentation tools to organize insights and share findings. AlphaSense acts as the core research source, making research faster and more efficient compared to using multiple separate sources. The initial setup was very easy, and the platform is intuitive, with onboarding resources that made it quick to start getting value right away.

What do you dislike about the product?

One area for improvement is the learning curve, as some advanced features take time to fully understand. Pricing could also be more flexible, especially for individual users or smaller teams.

AlphaSense is a useful tool for monitoring competitive activities and announcements. I appreciate that the AI tool is advanced enough to not only tag documents of interest but also summarize and address questions, saving me time. I find that I can get a summary answer from the AI, which helps in efficiently handling business questions without scanning through numerous documents.

What do you dislike about the product?

It's not always easy to navigate the different sources and set up alerts. And sometimes setting up alerts just results in a lot of noise. No there is no integration - it is all manual. Given the cost structure, we may have to switch back to another provider. It is a great tool but can be cost prohibitive.

I use AlphaSense to monitor competitive activities, get late-breaking news on developments, and save time with AI that summarizes documents and addresses questions.
