Overview
This is a repackaged open source software wherein additional charges apply for extended support with a 24 hour response time. This is a enterprise-grade linux image with the Elastic Network Adapter (ENA) enabled. It contains just enough packages to run within AWS, bring up a SSH Server and allow users to login. Cloud-init, as well as latest available security updates released by the team are included. Root login is disabled and only the 'ec2-user' user is allowed to connect using ssh public key authentication. VM Pro Support is a trusted managed service provider and consultant partner that helps small and medium sized business start in AWS the secure, well-architected way. We provide the tools and experience to help you scale securely.

Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for Amazon Linux 2 running with support from VM Pro Support. Pricing follows the EC2 instance type you launch, so each dimension maps to one instance size. Costs scale with the compute, memory, storage, or GPU capacity of the instance you pick. Smaller general-purpose instances bill less per hour, while metal and large multi-core instances bill more. You choose the instance that fits your workload and pay only for the hours you run it. Every instance includes the same vendor support and audited configuration.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each dimension maps to one running EC2 instance of that size. You are billed per hour that the instance runs. A metal instance bills as one physical server per hour. A general-purpose or GPU instance bills as one virtual machine per hour, based on its capacity.
The software charge meters running hours only. Stopped instances do not accrue this hourly software charge. Underlying AWS resources, such as attached storage, may still bill separately while the instance is stopped. You resume charges when you start the instance again.
Every instance runs Amazon Linux 2 with the same vendor support and audited configuration. You get a support team to help you launch and resolve issues. Each virtual machine is tested against security controls. Only the instance size and its hourly rate change between dimensions.
