AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for a running instance, with no upfront commitment. Each dimension maps to a specific AWS EC2 instance type. The choice you make sets the compute power, memory, and hourly rate. Options span burstable general-purpose types (the t2 and t3 families), balanced general-purpose types (the m3, m4, and m5 families), compute-optimized types (the c3, c4, and c5 families), and memory-optimized types (the r3, r4, and r5 families). Sizes range from nano through 2xlarge. Larger instances carry higher hourly rates. You scale by picking a bigger instance or running more of them.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Am I charged for an instance when it is stopped or paused?
Hourly software charges apply only while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance stops accruing hourly software fees. You may still pay underlying AWS costs, such as storage for the attached volume, even when the instance is not running. Billing tracks running hours only.
What do I actually get for one hour of a chosen instance type?
One hour covers a single running EC2 instance of that type. The type sets the virtual CPUs, memory, and network profile. It comes with Laravel pre-installed on Ubuntu 26.04, plus the vendor's maintenance support. Running two instances at once bills two hours per clock hour.
How do I move from a smaller instance to a larger one?
You change instance size by launching a different instance type from the list. Billing switches to the new type's hourly rate for the hours it runs. There is no automatic upgrade or commitment. You stop the old instance to avoid further charges on it.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Connect to the instance using SSH:
ssh -i <your-key.pem> ubuntu@<public-ip>
After login, switch to the root user and create a new Laravel project:
sudo su
cd /tmp
composer create-project laravel/laravel myapp
Navigate to the application directory and verify the installed Laravel version:
cd myapp
laravel --version
composer show laravel/framework
Install frontend dependencies and build assets:
npm install
npm run build
Start the Laravel development server:
php artisan serve --host=0.0.0.0 --port=8000
Access the Laravel application by opening the following URL in your browser:
