64-bit (x86) Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
Overview
Upon launching the instance, the Hades Service hades.service starts automatically and ensures the application is running. The application is accessible via the HTTP protocol on ports 80 and 8080.
By default, the application uses the following credentials for authentication:
- username: admin
- password: the initial password is the ID of your EC2 instance.
These credentials can be updated by adding environment variables to the file /home/ec2-user/hades/hades-environment on the instance.
Updating Default Credentials
To update the default credentials:
- Set the environment variables DIRIGIBLE_BASIC_USERNAME and DIRIGIBLE_BASIC_PASSWORD in the /home/ec2-user/hades/hades-environment file. Note that both variable values must be Base64-encoded.
- After adding the environment variables, restart the Hades Service.
Here is an example script which could be used as "User data" (under "Advanced details") in the EC2 instance provisioning UI:
#!/bin/bash USER=demo PASSWORD=demo # Base64 encode the credentials ENCODED_USERNAME=$(echo -n $USER | base64) ENCODED_PASSWORD=$(echo -n $PASSWORD | base64) # Set user and password variables to env file echo DIRIGIBLE_BASIC_USERNAME=$ENCODED_USERNAME | tee -a /home/ec2-user/hades/hades-environment echo DIRIGIBLE_BASIC_PASSWORD=$ENCODED_PASSWORD | tee -a /home/ec2-user/hades/hades-environment # Restart the hades service sudo systemctl restart hades.serviceSupport
