Overview
Blindata agent is a component of Blindata platform that has the purpose to integrate with source systems to read and collect metadata. Through the agent it is possible to automate the operations of metadata collection, data classification and data quality probes execution. Blindata Agent can't be a standalone component but it has to work with Blindata platform. It can be installed in the same network of Blindata or in another network to achieve hybrid deployments.

Blindata Agent is free to use, so no software charges apply for any option here. You choose from seven EC2 instance sizes, billed by the hour based on the compute you run. The options range from the smallest t2.nano to the larger t2.2xlarge, with t2.micro, t2.small, t2.medium, t2.large, and t2.xlarge in between. Larger instances provide more CPU and memory for running the agent. Your hourly cost reflects only the EC2 infrastructure you select. The Agent collects metadata without opening network holes, so pick the instance size that matches your workload.
