This is a repackaged open-source software product wherein additional charges apply for support and for providing it in a simple consumable AMI.hMailServer is an open-source mail server for Windows. Any webmail system which supports IMAP, SMTP, and POP3 can be used with hMailServer. hMailServer comes with a set of built-in anti-spam features such as SPF, SURBL. We have hardened this image for production-ready consumption and secured the image from all existing vulnerabilities.

The software itself is identical across all instances; only the underlying compute capacity and hourly rate change. Support runs 24/7.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
You pay for each hour an EC2 instance runs the pre-packaged hMailServer image. The hourly rate reflects the compute size you launch, such as a burstable t-family or general-purpose m-family type. Each running instance meters separately. Larger instances with more CPU and memory carry higher hourly rates.
The software charge meters running time only, so a stopped instance stops accruing the hourly software fee. You may still pay separate AWS charges for attached storage and other resources while the instance is stopped. Charges resume once you start the instance again.
