Usage instructions
- Please launch it with t3.large or higher instance type with default EBS of 200GB or larger SSD
- Add your own ssh key during launch configuration
- login as user ubuntu with the private key
- Obtain Augur API token from https://dashboard.seclytics.com/integration_syslogngÂ
- Run this environment validation script and answer all of the questions: cd /etc/syslog-ng/; sudo ./env_validation.sh
- Please configure your SIEM or Firewall to forward syslog to this VM's ip.
- Verify that events are forwarded to the VM with the following: tail -f /var/log/syslog-ng/logs.txt
